What is a gap-only payment platform?

Our platform allows you to pay only the out-of-pocket (gap) portion of your bill. Our platform will process your Medicare rebate amount to your practitioner, eliminating the need to pay the full amount upfront and wait for reimbursement from Medicare (or other insurer).

How does it work?

After your appointment, visit reception to pay the gap fee. We process your Medicare rebate in real-time, and you only pay the remaining balance (the gap) at the time of your appointment.

Do I need to sign up or register?

Sign up for Gild at reception on the day of your appointment.

Which health funds are supported?

Gild works with Medicare - any service where you receive a Medicare rebate can be processed using gap only payment with Gild.

Are there any additional fees?

No, we do not charge patients any additional fees.

Can I use this for all types of healthcare services?

Currently, Gild is only available at select trial clinics. We are always keen to expand our user base - please register your interest at gildhealth.com.au

What happens if my insurance claim is rejected?

If the Medicare claim is not able to be processed appropriately, we will need to process payment β€˜the old way.’ This means the full amount will need to be paid upfront, and the Medicare rebate will be reimbursed to your bank account.

Is my payment secure?

Yes, our platform follows strict security and compliance protocols to ensure your payment and health information are safe.

Can anybody use Gild?

Currently, Gild can be used in any participating clinics, for anybody aged 18 years and over.
